Conference Tables
  • Conference tables are usually made with surfaces in laminate, wood veneer, combinations of solid woods and veneers, solid wood, or glass.
  • Laminate conference tables are the most common and often the most economical alternative. Plastic laminates provide a hard, durable surface that is stain and scratch resistant. Laminates today come in a wide range of colors, including wood tones, solids, and patterns, for appearances from contemporary to traditional.
  • Wood veneer conference tables offer the beauty of real wood. Veneer is a layer of real wood over a particleboard core. The core is identical to the core used in laminate tables, so table strength is the same. Veneer surfaces are often sealed with a thick poly surface for a rich look and durability, while other veneers are less treated for a more natural wood appearance. Veneers are sometimes combined with solid wood -- the solids are typically used on the edging of the table.
  • Completely solid wood conference tables are not as common today. Modern Offers solid oak conference tables in a variety of shapes and sizes and several finishes.
Not sure what size conference table to order?
  • A general rule is that the length of a table in feet equals the capacity of the table. An 8' table is for 8 people. A 10' table is for 10 people. A 12' table is for 12 people, etc.
  • Be sure to measure your space so that you purchase a conference table of the appropriate size for your room. You should leave room for chairs and aisles on all sides of the table. Don't forget to also measure your doorways, hallways, etc., to be sure that the table will fit in order to reach its destination room. If you have a need for a large table but your doorways and hallways are not large enough, you'll need to order a table that is available with a two-piece top.
